Real Happiness Week Four: Day 28: Interconnectedness Meditation

We come to a close with our last day of the Real Happiness Challenge. I hope that this has assisted you in your meditation practice. We explored various techniques over the last four weeks and now we come to see our interconnection with everything in today’s practice.

Here we see how all of our encounter with people, plants, animals and the universe all is part of who we are. I’ve added Sharon’s meditation below.

For me, by practicing our meditation today, I had a great sense of our Oneness in consciousness. I also see how my equanimity, loving-kindness and compassion can impact not only myself but everyone and the world around me. I hope for you too, you saw the great expansion of your mind occur.

In closing, let me know how your practice went over these 28 days. For support, you can join me in my mindfulness classes or if you would you like personal meditation instruction, I am happy to assist you through these practices. Contact me.

In March, I’ll be working through Tara Brach’s book, Radical Compassion.  I hope you will join me.

From Sharon Salzberg —

In that same spirit, for the close of our time together, we dedicate the positive energy we have generated to others, and ultimately to all of life.

Each of us has a genuine capacity for love, forgiveness, wisdom, and compassion. Meditation awakens these qualities so that we can discover for ourselves the unique happiness that is our birthright.

Recommended reading for Week Three of the Challenge is pages 152 – 160 and pages 177 – 183 in the second edition of the book, “Real Happiness”.
